Ethical Planet's mission is to provide like-minded people with products that are as friendly to the earth as possible. The store does this by offering non-animal products, products that come from recycled sources, cruelty-free products and products that are healthy to the body, mind and soul.

Ethical Planet's goal is to give you choices where there currently are none or are difficult to find. They are committed to promoting the well-being of every two legged and four legged creature and the habitat in which we share.

Ethical Planet began as an online business in 2003 with the intention of expanding to a retail storefront. In late 2006 that dream became a reality when they opened their first storefront in the downtown Evanston area.

Ethical Planet is in the style of an old-fashioned general store with a healthy, ecological, and vegan twist. Product choices have been rigorously researched to ensure they have the least impact on and harm to the body, mind, soul and planet.

Founded by Fran Horvath, a vegan since 1992, Ethical Planet's purpose is to provide people with easy vegan choices in regard to what they eat, what they wear, what they clean with and how they choose to live a little more softly on this great planet of ours.
